I read a bit on this a while back. Universities are trying to improve the efficiency of photo-voltaic panels all the time. I believe Manchester has pushed up the percentage a good bit recently, so that will trickle down eventually.
They are unaware of your vast intelligence !
Get a job on a solar panel show !
The question they ask might seem stupid to you. All they are doing is asking a question so others will share information so they can make a sound choice. So they don't know what you know. Don't be so harsh.
because they don't know enough info
Why are people asking stupid questions about solar panels? Have they not the wit to realise that the panels need UV/sunlight of many 1000's of kilowatts to work on a panel of about 500w? Do they not realise that perpetual motion (or rather energy amplification) is a non starter?
Solar panels reap cheap energy from the sun that just goes to waste and are not efficient. Surely people understand that one needs solar (sun) to make them work?
