What can I do for energy?

Stay away from caffiene in all of its forms - tea, coffee, energy drinks etc.

Have a good but not overly heavy breakfast. Fruit, yoghurt. Keep a few pieces of fresh fruit and/or some nuts/seeds with you to nibble on during the day and keep metabolism going.

Have a good look at your diet. Are you eating healthy food, or a lot of junk/take-out foods. They can be weighing your entire system down.

Odd as it sounds, perhaps 9 hours per night is too much for you? The more you sleep, the more accustomed the body becomes to it and gets more and more tired. Try going to bed an hour later and waking up an hour earlier for a couple of weeks and see if this helps. Make sure you don't have TV, radio etc. on. Ever.

Perhaps you don't realise it, but there is always the possibility of a sleep disorder - especially if overweight. You should tell your parents of your problem. Hopefully they can get you checked out to rule out this possibility.

Go for a walk for half an hour after dinner and before bed. Do 15 or 20 minutes of other exercises before bed and at least 10 minutes when you wake up. It will help your body relax and sleep properly during the night and will activate your metabolism in the morning. Nothing too strenuous for the first few weeks. Let your body adjust.

Don't go to energy drinks I went down that road you find it really hard to find the motivation without one after a while. I stopped and started having a breakfast It might be you already have one if thats the case I would start calorie (energy) counting take it you have a fast metabolism? It will be your diet see what you eat at home and then at school the differences and see if you can add a more nutritional alternative to the bad foods of the day.

10 hours of sleep per night may be what you need. Do you wake up by yourself, or do you need an alarm? If you need an alarm, try getting away from all screens an hour before bed time, getting ten hours of sleep per night, and eating healthy food (plus lots of yogurt).

May be you are sleeping much than your body requirement.

Even sleeping much than the requirement makes you feel dull and tired.

Try to sleep like 6 to 8 hrs/ day.

Drink lots of water.

dont jog to school it will make things worse eat a protien bar

I think you can do some exercise, and have milk in the morning and in the evening.

eat a better diet suck as more protein or drink a protein shake

eat more high energy food,chocolate,milk,meat.

I'm 15 years old. I get 9 hours of sleep every night but I still wake tired and stay tired all day. I jog to school to try to wake up a little bit it doesn't really work. Coffee doesn't work for me either. I don't wanna take energy drinks or shots but I don't think I have any other options. What should I do?
