$1990 full time per month. Be respected, build your money up for a home and pension, build your credit and learn to invest and make a lot more, plus have the things you want like going out to dinner, movies, concerts, friday evenings out, have a car, feel independent, etc.

I'd say it depends on the job. But I'd work full time making 1990$ a month.
Living on the dole, off of some government benefits program can be discouraging to one becoming a personal success. One may feel more fulfilled doing something productive during the say instead of watching soap operas because you can't afford to do anything better.
