No nuclear power plant has ever made a profit selling power on the open grid.
No nuclear power plant has ever been built where the builders/operators had to pay for accident insurance. Insurance would cost billions of dollars, so the govt. insures them at the cost of taxpayers.
There are good effects and bad effects. The worst effect is the storage of nuclear waste. Once the nuclear fuel is spent (energy released) the depleted fuel is still extremely radio active. This then has to be stored somewhere.
1. Possibility of leakage
2. Possibility of explosion
3. Target for terrorists
4. Difficult to dispose of waste
5. Enriched uranium could also be used for atomic weapons

Be on the side of positvity of renewable resource development , the earths dwindling supplies of fossil fuels needs clear heads and open minds . Governments have favoured exhausting reserves ,for selfish gains , the time for sitting back and wasting them is over . Put forward some safer alternatives as can be be found on a google seach of new energy ,

It has very toxic waste that hangs about for hundreds of thousands of years.
When it goes wrong, it can be devastatingly bad.

I'm going to be in a debate, I've never been in one and I'm on the negative side of nuclear energy. Does anyone have any negative facts about it, that the affirmative side won't be able to rebound? Thanks in advance! Also if you have the source of the info that'd be greatly appreciated
