Technically, energy is infinite. The wind isn't going anywhere.
Not everybody is going to have a Sun Panels and Turbines in front of their house. Furthermore,
Most of the energy resources we currently use are non-renewable, meaning they will get used up eventually. In a few decades or less, we may run out of fuel.
Many energy resources we use are damaging to the environment; for an example the pollution from cars. Etc think of Economy and Fossil fuels.
True but those aren't the only source of energy there are some energy sources that are called non renewable sources such as burning coal and fossil fuel that will be depleted soon. Another reason is the amount of energy that is produce from wind turbines, solar panels and water turbine could not be enough to supply enough energy. Also we have to consider the weather as well. It's not going to be sunny everyday thus making the solar panels slightly useless.
Yes, the wind isnt going anywhere. However, the coal, natural gas and uranium are being depleted as we speak. Around 80% of all USA's energy comes from non-renewable sources. You might be asking why, but this is because creating a solar panel costs alot of money, and most of the time it costs more than it will give you back in energy. Companies are reluctant to make them, because mining coal at a fast rate is alot better for the companies economy. This is why the humans want to save energy, we dont have much left! -Hope this helps you understand, Jason.
This is a ridiculous question. Yes, technically we get all of our energy from the sun but INDIRECTLY. We need to produce the energy we use. This is done either by burning fossil fuels, nuclear power and green energy (which includes hydro, wind, geothermal, biomass). Producing energy has costs and negative externalities. Burning fossil fuels releases greenhouse gases which contribute to global climate change and require a nonrenewable resource. Energy sources like nuclear power and green energy simply are not efficient enough, are too expensive and aren't relied upon enough to be used as our sole source of energy for the entire global community. Therefore, energy is infinite BUT the usable energy that we have available to us in the form of electricity and hydrocarbons are not. We have to convert the solar energy or extract carbon rich fossil fuels. Energy efficiency is critical to our future. Have you heard about "the Energy crisis" and national energy security? Energy is an important topic and if it was simply something that was infinite for us to use without consequence, energy wouldn't even be an issue for us.
We get energy from the sun, wind turbines, rivers, ect...
