Ethical issues for renewable energy?

hanks if you can help;) i have homework and i need to state at least 5 renewable energy issues :s

Wind and solar need storage technology to enable them to provide consistant energy. Many have proposed batteries for this purpose which would create more toxic waste than nuclear power (Maybe not as toxic but toxic all the same and a lot more of it). Solar panels also contain toxic heavy metals (one of which is banned in Europe and the USA except for use in solar panels because it is a vital part, I forget the name but you should be able to google it easy enough).

Wind turbines kill birds and can change wind patterns that may effect the local environment in a negative way.

There is a step-by-step video guide online right now that can show you how to reduce your power bill by making your own solar panels.

Take a look at it: http://tinyurl.com/Earth4EnergyRew

Why pay thousands of dollars for solar energy ($27,000 average cost) when you can build your own solar panel system for just a fraction of the retail cost. You can build a single solar panel or you can build an entire array of panels to power your whole house.

Some people are saving 50% on their power bill, some people are reducing their bill to nothing. But what’s most impressive is that just by following these instructions some are even making the power company pay them!

1. Nobody wants a wind farm near them so developers always try to get a government inspector to over-rule the local council's decision.

2. Wind farm owners get paid roughly twice the going rate for the electricty they produce, even though there's no proof that wind turbines reduce national CO2 emissions.

3. Developers claim that most people are in favour of wind farms, but when you look at the details of the polls they quote, that's not what was said.

4. The two politicians who have campaigned hardest for wind energy have jobs with energy companies.

5. Wind turbines are subject to special noise regulations and can get away with noise levels that would not be allowed for any other activity near to people's homes.

One of the issues is the cost in jobs. If you have 300 people working in a coal mine and you convert the area of coal supply to wind and solar, what happens to those 300 people?

Solar is another issue. It takes up a lot of space. So what happens to areas that have limited space?

Wind energy is noisy. If you put up a tower you can hear the blades moving.

I've only got 1, but that is that some times they can be an eye sore, for example, wind farms are spoiling the view.
