Because hardcore conservatives don't have much of a life and can afford to waste their life on this site.
I don't imagine hard left socialists and communists get on with the idea of using a capitalistic corporate monster like Yahoo inc. to communicate on. To be honest I'm happier without the socialist worker reading red flag waving loony left being here. Their arguments are all too often unrealistic and harking back to a mystical past of egalitarian comradery that never existed.
Plus by their absence they make the far right nutjobs here look even more ridiculous.
There's plenty of moderate left leaning people here, myself included.
Most actual questions are from conservatives. Because they are attempting to speak with and not just talk AT fellow users.
Most self congratulatory back slap questions are from Liberals. They don't ask actual questions so much as they want lauding and agreeing praise from their fellow comrades. Real answers they thumb down or report as abuse.
Seriously, it seems to be about 70% of the questions on YA Politics are from Liberals. How can you say that?
From what I have seen it is mostly Liberals that use this site and not Conservatives.
