This is why you may be getting bit by mosquitoes a hundred times and the person right next to you doesn't get bit once. Some people produce the odor naturally.
Other tips to deter mosquitoes:
- Limit foods or drinks that will sweeten your blood (i.e., alcohol)
- Take Vitamin B-1
- Stay away from still standing water
- Use deet or citronella products
- Waft or swipe mosquitoes off, don't slap them on your skin.
- Avoid scented/perfumed products (i.e., lotions, cologne, hairspray, soaps, etc.)
Mosquitoes don't hate anything. In addition to all of the things mentioned by other people, mosquitoes can be repelled by spraying vinegar onto your skin and clothing for short periods of time. Sandalwood insence also repels them if you light it and stick several of them into the ground around the area you are in.
Why don't we just make a pastrami sandwich, with lots of mustard, rosemary, garlic and pesto, top it with red vinegar and olive oil, and leave it so the suckers can choke on it?
Mustard. Yellow mustard. Rub just a tiny bit into areas that are most effected by the bites. Will work like a charm.

But here's a tip if you don't want to be bitten as much:
Mosquito's are apparently more attracted to the colour blue - so wear less blue :D

I don't know what's it called, but it's like this cotton like paper that you put in your clothes so they smell nice. Put those like under desks and under beds. It will keep the mosquitoes away.

Ugh, i just found one on my arm and instead of killing it i freaked and it got away.._. Hate reflexes.
Anyways, i dont want another mosquito bite or a mosquito on me because theyre scary...
And is it true mosquitoes dont like the strong spicey smell? I dont really know how to explain it but its like a medicated oil and my mother says itll repel it. O.o
