The teller would point out to you that it's not really a check
The tellers would laugh and laugh and laugh at you about how silly it is that you actually thought it was a real check.
If you look at the check, they typically have words like "Non Negotiable" written across the face of the check. This means they are non negotiable.
The bank teller will laugh at you, if you try to deposit that worthless piece of paper.
CURIOUS ... RECEIVE ... DEPOSIT ... SAYS ... CHECK ...
... the teller might think you are not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
