I found a dragonfly in my pool?

The dragonfly is still alive but cannot fly. I have it in a container but i don't know what to feed it. Anyone know what i can feed it.

Just let the dragonfly out in the yard, a bird will take care of it.

Yes you could feed it, but it would be better if you just ate it yourself. If prepared correctly, dragonflies can be quite tasteful. If it can no longer fly than it will be much less spry and gamy, which will make for a much more delectable meal. If your heart set on saving it, look up certain other animals that will eat it. Other wise, release it into the wild with patched up, make shift paper wings that will last in comfortable weather conditions.

It's wings may be wet or permanently damaged. Try putting him out in the sun to let his wings dry off. If that doesn't work, there is probably no use because his wings are almost certainly damaged. They eat gnats, flies, crickets, mosquitoes... a lot of small flying bugs. It would be kind of useless for it to live without flying since that's the way it is supposed to live, so it may be suffering and would be better off put out of it's misery since a container is no place for it to live. They have very short lifespans and since it is just an insect you can't take it to the vet or something, lol. Sorry, there isn't much you can do.

Good luck. :)

Well, its not wonder you found it. Dragonflies lay their eggs in the water; so it may just be dying anyway.

some grass they eat little bugs. if you leave it on a rock it will probably be fine until the wings dry off or it will help another animal eat and live to another day and atleast it will have lived a little longer because of you he is better off outdoors.

It's not going to live in a container. It belongs in the wild.
