You may not be able to work in a store, a restaurant or other 'traditional' entry-level 'jobs' due to child labor laws, but there is no law that says you can't go out and create your own job, and when you do, there is no government telling you what hours you can and can't work, etc. Before I got my first 'real' job in a grocery store at 16, I delivered 'pennysaver'-type ads door to door, mowed lawns and did other yard work, shoveled snow in winter...I made $70 alone shoveling driveways in 1971. That is the same as $405 today (because of inflation - the first concert I went to in 1972 cost $5.50). There are many other things you can do around your neighborhood. My nextdoor neighbor had a toy printing press and we made up flyers to advertise our services for snow removal and it really paid off. You can easily create a much more elaborate flyer than we ever could and print them yourself. List the type of work you will do. In the meantime, ask around to see what those types of work cost. call landscapers to see how much they charge per lawn cut and trim, call window washers, anybody you might be competing with. You will be in the position of charging less than they can and you can still make good money. Always remember, though, that you are not just selling a service. You are selling yourself. Your goal is to earn some money, but if you focus on doing the highest quality work you can, working hard and not just rushing through things to get it over with, you will be selling yourself, earning a name and reputation for yourself. Get in the habit of doing this with everything you do and it will lead to a successful life.
Some ideas:
-Babysit/Dog sit/House sit
-Sell old clothes/toys/etc that you don't want or need anymore on craigslist or something
-Save up allowance (if you get allowance)
-Look for small things your parents will pay you to do, like mow the lawn or wash the car
$375 for a concert? what a waste of money
You could sell your junk on eBay.
