Expect to be assaulted by all kinds of requests for it, from friends and relatives in need (real or not), charities, and those who want you to invest with them. I'd say put the money in a savings account, and resolve not to do anything with it until you get the advice of two trusted people. What is a trusted person? Someone who already has wealth, so they know how to acquire and keep it. And also, someone who knew you and cared about you before you had money. Basically, it's rich relatives and friends.
