An ant bait is good sprinkled around each hole of the mounds. The ants will crawl on it and take it down inside the nest and in a short time the queen and all will be gone.

Mounds can mean fire ants and they are hard to kill and there are pictures of fire ants on fire ant baits.

Buy a box of Borax at Your local Grocers and remove a cup full .To the cup of Borax add 2 cup's Sugar and mix well.Use three tin cans and put some Borax sugar into each can and lay the can on it's side beside each mound. Wait a few day's and the Ant's will be dead and gone. Borax kills Ant's and Weeds so be careful where You use it .

get amdro at the store..you can pour boiling water on them also..you might have to repeat two or three times with either one you do**

We have 3 large ant MOUNDS in our back yard side by side, if we can't kill them all at once won't they just keep migrating back and forth? How do I get them ALL at the same time?? I would just gas and light them on fire but it's right next to the fence (I'm guessing previous owners had a compost garden right there..)
