Bug bombing?

To Yankee_Sailor's point, read and follow all of the product label instructions, especially for anything related to gas appliances. Food in sealed cans and jars should be fine, but you should remove any indoor potted plants containing fruit, vegetables, or herbs you plan to eat in the future.

What yankee said. Make double sure all power is off, that can be a big problem.

sealed cans are fine...wipe them off before you open them.

cat tree, litter pan, plants OUTSIDE........

CRUCIALLY Important. Anything gas in your house? Stove pilot light? Water heater? House heater? The propellant in many bug bombs is propane and will ignite or explode if it hits an open flame ( pilot light) or a spark ( stove igniter, water heater igniter, etc.......) I saw a guy blow his boat into tiny little pieces once....

Turn off the gas, kill all power, wait and ventilate before using anything with a flame

we are going to bug bomb our house. we have a bunch of canned and jarred foods. do they need to be removed or are they ok since they're sealed? we're takin out all the other food, but wasn't sure about the canned and jarred. do i need to remove my cat tree and litter box? and are my houseplants ok inside or do i need to find a place for them outside? i've never done a bug bombing, but my brother has...but, he don't have pets and plants like i do so he has no idea about that stuff...thanks a bunch!!!
