Mahogany furniture :(?

What a wonderful thought! It's really good that you're aware of the impact of mahogany furniture and that you care enough to do something about it.

Fortunately, there are lots of things you can do to help protect the rainforest such as being careful what you buy at the supermarket, sponsoring a protector organisation, cutting down your carbon emissions and spreading the word to make other people aware. I won't go into detail here but will post some links below to get you started. Some of them are for specific things you can do, others are for longer-running projects and some are general information about the rainforest.

Do bear in mind that the Amazon is not the world's only rainforest (though it is the biggest) so you can help to protect rainforests all over the world.

Everything on Earth is connected; rain that falls on you today might have travelled from the Pacific Ocean and before then evaporated from the leaves of trees in the Amazon. Changing your day-to-day life in small ways (like turning off the tap while you brush your teeth) can benefit animals, plants and people on the other side of the world as well as those in your local area.

Thanks so much! :)

So mahogany furniture is very bad for the environment as is comes from the Amazon rainforest. I have realised that my family have some (table, chairs, sofa feet, dressing table) so what now? I guess it is too late and we need a table of course. I just feel so bad :( I love animals and we have contributed to the destruction of their habitat :( Anything we can do?
