Yes, just try to explain why you need new furniture. Give them some solid reason so that they could understand you and your room's requirements.
Try giving it to a relative to hold on to
My parents don't mind me spending money as a 13yr. old girl, but they're worried where to put my old furniture (especially my queen sized mattress) when I move in my new furniture. They say we don't have enough space to store my old furniture and that I should be grateful for what I have and that I shouldn't just be thinking about my self. They said I should just buy a laptop because I don't "need" new furniture. But my room is extremely tiny, I have a queen sized bed which takes up 85% of my room, the headboard is so ugly and outdated with it's metal gold swirls, my bookcase is falling apart and also very outdated, plus I have no where to put my makeup and beauty things. The only thing I like is my desk because it's modern. I want to buy modern furniture. My room dimensions are about 8'2" by 10'2". I calculated everything to the last penny (the cost of the furniture) and I measured everything to make sure the furniture would fit. I know exactly where I want my new furniture. I'm a straight A student, I'm good at assembling furniture, I do the dishes everyday, and I really want new furniture. HELP!!!
