Several reasons: Aesthetics, Health (both for humand and for other living beings), Economic development (a clean city will attract more tourism than one that is not), Mental health (don't you feel better being in a clean place than in one that is filthy?). etc.
1.Control pollution.
2.Healthy Environment.
3.Beautiful city.

a clean city means fresh air to breathe....in general its better for the city to be clean so there is LESS POLLUTION that way everyone have less chances of getting sick from all the chemicals and diseases that pollution carries....and why would you wanna walk around in a dirty *** place??
