What is random kinetic energy?

It is thermal energy essentially. According to the laws of thermodynamics, systems become more chaotic (random) as time progresses. They also state that no machine can be 100% efficient and that some energy will always be lost to heat (random kinetic energy).

kinetic energy possessed by system due to random motion of individual particles. Eg: kinetic energy due to vibration of molecules within a solid.

Energy associated with a moving object in motion is called kinetic energy. A more massive object has more energy when it is moving. Similarly the faster an object is moving the more energy it has.

say u have a ball a u let it go down a hill, thats kinetic energy
