Is like 5,000$-6,000$ enough to move out?

I'm trying to get my feet back on the ground and be independent. I've recently graduated and had to move back home and now have some savings and am dying to live alone (and move out) again. But I worry my savings Arn't enough and I'll just have to move right back ...

So do you think around 5k$ is enough to move out?? I don't have a job yet either but plan on getting one.. I would just use my savings to help me till I'm employed.

Please help.. And I have considered getting a roommate.

If you are in an expensive place like NYC or Chicago, that amount will disappear in the blink of an eye, with security and utility deposits and other first time expenses. In less expensive areas and small towns it may be more than enough to set up. You should do a spreadsheet of anticipated expenses to get a better idea of how long this amount would last.

Remember first and last deposit plus any utilities you need to turn on, and depending may have to pat a deposit for those, plus moving your stuff and living expenses. Id wait till you have a job or you'll be back home within 2 months, if not before

Don't do it until you have a job!!! Until then, They will require you to have a cosigner. Try to make 1 months rent = 1 weeks pay. That money will not last long. Your not ready to go if you can't afford it.

Move out - yes. Stay out - NO - because you do not have a job. Stay at home and keep banking money or you might "boomerang" again.

Get the job. Find a room-mate. Then move out.

50 cents is enough
