Some people would pay dearly for copper, but mainly for wiring, pipes, and some for sculpting. Most people that handle copper personally would smelt it and lay it it a pipe form, or just heat it and run it into wiring. If I were your I would either smelt it into Ingots and try to sell it, or if you don't have the tools for that, then I would make some wire out of it. It's extremely conductive material!

Because copper works so well for weapons it is often stolen and recycled. I am talking about those huge electric transfer boxes alongside freeways and such, they are frequentedky targeted by thieves. Even copper statues and piping get stolen for their copper value. Isn't war grand!

I have a lot of insulated copper and I am wondering if it is recyclable. I know of some metals that are but would like to know if it is so I can go recycle it. I live in California. If it is , is it better to sell it as is or strip it down to the wire ?
