500 watts is pretty small. One refrigerator will use that much or more. Plus that is the maximum power with full Sun on a clear day. It will make less than that in the morning and afternoon when the sun is lower in the sky, and even less if there are clouds.

considering purchasing a solar kit and i want to know how beneficial 500w can really be. can somebody give me an example of what that can run and for how long?
