I'm a junior and I've known her since I was a freshman. She was my section leader in band this year and drove me to school during my freshman and sophomore year. We never hung out alone, but we would go out with other people in our section alot, so we're not best friend, but not acquaintances either. The party starts in three hours and I can't decide if I should wear a sundress or shorts with a cardigan and nice shirt. I don't want to outshine her at her own party by wearing a dress, but I also don't want to look too informal by showing up in shorts if others are going to be wearing button down shirts or dresses.
