I have the iPhone 5s and I was thinking about getting the lifeproof for my phone since I play hockey and soccer and I always bring my phone to the rink and the field. It has survived in my bag in the rain. I used to have the iphone 4 and I bought a fake lifeproof off of ebay for like $10. I never tried it under water but for the most part it was fine. Idk if I want to spend all that money after seeing all the bad reviews. Lifeproof will just add a little extra defense, but it is not a life savior. The cheap one shall do, just be cautious anyway.
