There shall be no more then 1 occupants living in the premises during lessee's tenancy 100/mo penalty per extr?

It sounds like the Land Lord is discouraging more than one occupant for each apt. This could be because of increased wear and tear or city / state laws forbidding more than 2 people per bedroom. It may be outrageous, but it is legal.

You make a choice at this time, find another place to live or pay the increase in rent. If home ownership is cheaper than renting, it may be the right time to buy a home.

When your lease term expires, move to another place with cheaper rent. When you signed the lease, you knew the terms. Three people in an apartment cost the landlord more in wear and tear than one person. If utilities are included in the rent, it costs even more for the landlord.

if your furnace dies , if the roof leaks, if the electrical is bad the landlord pays for it all and you as a tenant pay nothing, a homeowner pays it all so while the 'monthly payment' is less the homeowner or landlord has all the financial obligations of maintenance, repairs, and upkeep

yes, the housing market is incredibly cheap now because of all the foreclosures. this is the perfect time to buy a house

I live by myself in a 2 bedroom apartment. I have been living here since 2010. I have never missed a payment and have gotten along with my neighbors. i am currently paying 675 a month for rent and I would like my g-f and her 14 year old daugher to move in with me. I looked at my lease and it said 100$ penalty per extra person. So does that mean we'll seriously be living in a 2 bedroom apt for 875 dollars when it would be a lot less cheaper to own a 2 bedroom house? My coworker is only paying 620 for his 2 bedroom house. If so that is outrageous!!
