Room Makeover Help?

Hi - are you allowed to paint your furniture? Because I would definitely recommend this if you can:) Could you paint your furniture like a silver grey? Annie Sloans paints are good and you don't need to prime it first. Have a look here for her paints and they will also give you details of their stockists. You will perhaps need two coats all depending what your furniture looks like initially. And, once painted you will need to put Annie Sloan's Clear Wax on it to protect it. All depending what the handles/knobs are like - perhaps you can change these to glass handles or something? Here is the website for Annie Sloan's paint:)

To give you some encouragement here are one two videos on 'how to paint with annie sloan paint':)

It is quite thick paint - but as a little tip - when your painting is have a cup of water at the side of you and just dip your brush in and out of the water and then into your paint - this will make it a lot easier to put your paint on :)

Do purple walls. Not a true violet or pastel, but almost a gray purple. I saw some really pretty ruffle bedspreads. I think that would be beautiful if you could find a grey or black one. Especially on a canopy bed. Don't go full on goth. Do something beautiful that you can live with for more than a year or 2. You can get some blank canvases and paint your own pictures. Get on pinterest and look up your color theme to get some ideas for artwork to use.

Try a lavender or grey blue they will go Goodrich the wood. Try and get some nice photframes to hang up also (black of you can)

I have many things to suggest you but it is better to check the source and update yourself with latest home decorating ideas.

In sixth grade I thought it was a good idea to have my walls be painted lime green. I couldn't imagine myself ever disliking the color, but years later, as a sophomore in high school, I've decided that its time for a change.

My style isn't bright and bold anymore, I'm actually part of the Goth subculture right now. I'm kind of ashamed of how my room looks and I really need a change. I can paint the walls (I'm going to primer them and put as many layers of off-white paint that is needed to cover the green, I prefer neutral colors now) but the main problem is I can't do away with my furniture.

When I was little, my grandmother took me to a furniture store and let me pick out a large bedroom set. I picked out wooden furniture that has a light and almost cream-colored finish with little flower designs here and there. While I still love the furniture and am quite attached to it, it simply isn't my style anymore. I'm not going to sell it and I'm not allowed to put it in storage or any place like that, so I don't know how to give my room the look I want with the furniture I have.

I guess I could go for a Gothic-Lolita look, but I don't really know how. I'm not allowed to paint my room dark colors, so it's just going to be that off-white color. If you could come up with ideas for decorations or other ways I could make my room look Gothic, it would be very appreciated.

Please, do not make comments or jokes about my type of style and my subculture.
