Mice issues: no longer going for the snap traps?

Try different traps. There are glue boards, for example. Check at a local hardware store to see what they offer.

I use MouseCubes http://tinyurl.com/l422dck The only catch is you ill have to deal with a live mouse but I find if you flush the toilet and immediately shake the trap into the toilet you can usually get them out of there pretty easily. Sometimes it takes a second flush. Close the bathroom door before you do it.

I hope the God of Mice forgives me but; they do not seem able to resist choclate and can smell it from a long way off. Do not block any holes until you are certain they have all gone.

To mice heaven . . . .

Try some candy on the traps.

wait up all night with a 22 rifle and shoot them as they come out of the hole

OR

take a really long hose, attach it to your cars exhaust pipe and put the other end in their hole

get a tiny little baby mouse guillotine and put it outside their hole

If you answered my previous mice question: thanks :).

Now I have a new issue. I went with basically getting a bunch of snap traps (mostly the Victor kind), baiting them with peanut butter, and setting them in locations I know the mice are going to. Now, the mice aren't going for the snap traps anymore. The past two nights they managed to eat the bait off of a couple of the traps (the cheaper "fake cheese" type), but now they're just not bothering at all. I switched up the bait a little.. nothing. They're avoiding the traps all together. What can I do?

Also, I know where the mice are coming from. I found a hole in the wall under the stairs. Should I just seal up the hole? I don't want them to get stuck in the walls, die, and stink up the place (or worse, eat a new hole in the wall) but I don't know what else to do.
