1st I think it's a bad idea to put carpet in a basement do to moisture! Let me also inform that I'm a builder and have finished many basements and the floor finish is the last thing done in the building process. Building walls, stud frame every 16 inch on center (also not that you need to use treated lumber for contact with concrete). Use a mold proof Sheetrock and anything you use in a basement. Hire a plumber if you don't know how to install bathroom fixtures! Last, I would stain the concrete floor but that also requires expertise!

Wow, big project ahead of you! Here is a link I think might be of use to you, go to the section "Major sections" and you'll find posts on the bathroom, framing walls, dry walling, etc.

Also, a thought for more of the design side as you finish up. Check out Felt Ball Rug to add some color and comfort to your basement. Going off of linwood's answer, maybe put in tile floor with a big felt ball rug on top!

You have got to be joking, there are large books that only partially cover all this. Start by going to the library, or someplace like Home Depot or Lowe's and look at all the books they have.

You can Google step by step for all that you are asking, Why to much to go into detail here about. Good luck

You can also find info on Ask.com and Wikipedia.com. Phrase your question something like How to put up drywall, of How to finish a basement.

You bought the house like this, so you would have budgeted for this right?

1. the floors are already covered with concrete but I want to put carpet. what are all the steps and all the tools that I will need. please tell them to me step by step.

2. the bathroom is also not finished, the toilet is the only thing that is installed. how do I put in the sink, and the bathtub? and what are all the materials.

3. how do I put up dry walls? and what are all the materials.

4. how do I build a wall?

please try to explain it all step by step with all the materials needed. Thank you so much :)
