Can Anybody Identify This Antique Lamp?

Posted at: 2014-09-26
This is a lamp from my great great grandma's lamp. I have not a clue what it is or how much it is worth, but could someone please identify this for me??

That is known as a Gone with the Wind parlor lamp.

It should have another round glass shade for the top.

That one looks as if someone re-engineered it - they don't usually have the turned wood section in the middle. They were originally made to burn kerosene, and often converted to electricity.

You'll see a lot of different version on eBay, if you just look for "Gone with the Wind lamp".

These were originally Victorian parlor lamps, and then came back when "Gone With the Wind" (the movie) came out.

Some of them are actually quite valuable, if they have a matching shade and base, and most of the parts.

Not sure what it's called but these are fairly common in Goodwills for like ten bucks.
