Is the color that bad that you can't use it? Peach is actually very neutral, (think skin tones) and will cast a soft warm and comforting glow. You might like it better than you think once the rooms are completed and everything is back in place. A newly painted room sometimes looks overwhelming until you get your window treatments and art hung back up and furniture in. You started with peach for some reason, what you have might just work.

Normally they put a dab of the mixed paint on lid for inspection. I am unclear why you used a gallon before noticing color. If it took that long maybe creatively designed is right and you should use the color.

By the time you're finished mixing in all the white paint, you'll have spent more than if you just go and get off-white paint. Cut your losses and sell the peach paint on Craigslist, and go get the off-white that you really want.

It will get lighter with every gallon of white but "never" make it to WHITE. agree with Kacky

Go back to the store and discuss the issue with them. And if they are not willing to give you a price cut for buying more paint, go somewhere else to buy some white. I think for the most part it will almost be white mixing gallon per gallon.

I bought 5 gallons of peach paint at Sherwin Williams and they mixed it from the color swatch I had from Lowes but it came out a way different color then we've already painted the walls so I want to start over and just paint everything white or off white.

Sherwin williams will not refund or let me exchange for a different color though they I believe they made some sort of mixing error, even after taking it back so they can add coloring to it - still isn't right.
