Cooler colours are suppose to clam people down blues, greens, purples act. Whoever warmer colours help bring positive and happy try painting it a soft butter yellow with maybe blue and pink accents and biege comfy chairs or alternate between beige and blue... also there is a plaque that says what cancer cannot do... also maybe getting a plaque that says fight like a girl with pink boxing gloves there was once a cartoon of an old woman that is holding a bra that's says do you have these in a 38 long... why not add some humour? And maybe pictures of cancer survivors. Maybe you could even have like a prayer jar

Soft music, lighting, very comfortable chairs and even footstools. I do not think you should have a TV especially if you are running a tape on breast cancer. By now the patient has done a lot of their own research. But I might consider a funny tape....standard is an I Love Lucy video/dvd. Some books about the power of positive thinking and a Bible. And some unusual magazines....ones you do not see in every doctor's office. Let's face it.....however you decorate a waiting room...and it is beautiful that you want to create a calming space.....Cancer .....and especially Breast Cancer ....goes to the Heart of every woman.

Staff should be kind and caring...I have a feeling they already are since you asked this question to begin with.
