What to do with a Christmas Poinsetta?

Yes, they can be grown outside in partial shade. Check the link for more information on growing poinsettias

What differs a Christmas Poinsettia from a normal Poinsettia? If it is the Christmas, then I am thinking they are seasonal plants. If this is the case, the thing is going to lie dormant until next Christmas. You cannot force it to grow.

I have a Christmas Poinsettia that seems to be sprouting new growth. Can you re pot these guys and put them in the shade outside over the summer?

Will it continue to thrive or just die out?

I just remember my Father when alive saying forced bulbs or plants will only survive one growth cycle.

Is a Poinsettia considered a forced plant?
