Why do liberals call conservatives CONS so much (implying that they're criminals). Cons = convicts. Right? Felons. Do you think that is immature?
I don't ever call liberals libtards. I think its immature and I try to refrain from incivility. I don't think it does anything good.
But don't make the mistake of thinking liberals don't resort to the same dirty name-calling. What about teabaggers? That's a popular slur. What about RepubliKKKans? That's another popular one.
We are on the internet for starters. We are making our points in a small amount of space. And then we vote for best answer. Even if there were no cheaters or trolls, you can see how that doesn't exactly add up to the greatest way to exchange ideas in a rational manner. If anything, it turns us into congressmen--we become stupider (not more stupid) for being here.
I usually use contard to designate a spreader of baseless stereotypes. I won't use it against a conservative position. If you think that liberals are lazy welfare bums, you are a contard. If you think that public assistance is a poor use of government funds, you are a conservative.
Personal attacks are where you go when you don't have a point. You can't attack the idea, so attack the speaker again. But if someone is already attacking people personally rather than their position, I'll let him have it from the start. I can namecall at the same time I give truth, so I won't say I'm above it.
You should try opening your eyes. Liberals constantly refer to Teabaggers, in reference to their own Left-wing perversions. They constantly think Con makes people think of convict. They continue their own personal racism by inferring the term RepubliKKKans on others, despite the historical opposite.
If you actually think conservatives are more immature or more degrading than liberals, you either aren't paying attention, or you are being grossly dishonest.
I've seen liberals go to great (but not very creative) lengths to call conservatives or Republicans names on here. But what else can I expect from teens?
