There are a variety of reasons. First of all anarchy never lasts because eventually somebody powerful and smart will take control and that could form a dictatorship. Anarchy implies no laws to govern people. That means if I killed you right now and the country was an anarchy, I would not be in any trouble. Although the government should be more "hands off" we do still need it.
It has never worked before, and is even less likely to work now.
In the absence of some sort of government, it wouldn't be long before other informal governments start to take over- usually set up by people who have enough armed force to back them up.
Also, in a system of anarchy, who would generate your electricity, water, etc? Who would keep these people in check and stop them from charging unreasonable prices? Who would investigate crimes? The list goes on.
Chaos, lawlessness, violence.
Anarchy would necessitate a population purge to levels more manageable to sustain the balance.
Millions people would suffer while successful people will support entire families of fat***es.
In order to protect the lives of the successful, the rich would either have to avoid poor people at all costs or institute a private militia to act as a police state.
It would basically be a privately run totalitarian regime.
There you go, bashing libertarians. Just because it has never worked anywhere it has been tried, does not mean it will not work in the United State, even if we have to destroy this country to prove it.
Watch the purge, you'll figure it out.
