Europe is turning more conservative because thet are finally realising that socialism is far too expensive. It only works untill you run out of other peoples money and they have and the USA has.
WITH SOCIALISM SOONER OR LATER YOU RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY
Socialism leads to tyranny. The countries you are referring to are among they highest ranked countries in terms of public debt as a percentage of GDP. Socialism does not promote wealth and creates an artificial economy that will eventually fail. When that failure comes, Tyranny takes over.
you are delusional . the Euro socialist thing is a great failure . Socialism has never worked and can not work . Your countries are economically failing . heavily taxing the rich to " spread wealth " is not only unfair but stupid policy . they work for their money and should not pay much more than you do .
When you have a " lets put everything together " policy then you get lazy losers that figure out they do not have to do anything but will still get their f" fair " share of it all . this is why it always fails .
have fun in the UK where only those who buy gas pay the taxes for the rest of you and people have to come to the US to get medical care if they want to live . Nice to be under the thumb of the socialist gov when you need medical care and they decide it would cost too much for you to get it because your too old or too sick .
I hear France has a great economy , according to our socialist loving president . The peso will soon be worth more than the Euro.
A basic misunderstanding of socialism, encouraged by the right wing cons, are why many Americans are against it. They are unaware that Social Security and Medicare, which they love and rely upon, are basically socialism.
The question is if you want socialism then why not move to one of those country's that have a socialist government America is a Republic and will remain so if your not comfortable with that you are free to leave
Socialism has never really been popular or well understood in America. The right wing tend to portray any sort of effort to reduce inequality as a royal road to the gulags, and the mainstream left, for the most part, are too weak willed to challenge them.
The wealthy and the GOP have done a good job of making people think its going to hurt them, if things do get rearranged more fairly.
In northern Europe it works great. Small income has no tax. Middle class pay moderate tax. And the very wealthy pay 55% of everything that goes past 200000$ a year.
It's not that it is bad to be rich. It is just time to spread the wealth when you can buy a new Mercedes every time the ash tray fills up:)
So we have the best education, health care and prison system "free".
