absolutely and I recently had a phone survey on the same subject for canberra, I said straight away yes "'I'd be happy to drink recycled water", they then asked if sewerage had been fully treated and turn into drinking water would I still be willing to drink it and again I said yes, the caller said I was in the minority of canberra's views on recycled drinking water and most say no to any type of water recycling, and that only 2% of the callers surveyed would drink recycled water that had come from sewerage.
Its a pity some people are like this, we need other options for drinking water as the population grows and rainfall decreases, its strange people seem to have no problems with desalination plants but won't hear of recycled sewerage, the main reason cited for this is "it originally had poo in it", but isn't the sea full of fish poo?
If you go camping and fill your bottle from a river or stream do you think of all the poo and dead animal remains that are in the water? most don't and the few that do put a purifying tablet into it and they'r? fine so why would it be different if it was purifed in a plant.
Like we have a choice. Besides, the water distributors are gonna make darn sure that it is safe. Lawsuits cost money. It is probably in the beer and I don't hear any complaints that are legible(they slur their words)
Your water is already recycled - all water's been through the whole water system (seas, clouds, bodies etc)
If u think it is safe it is a good habit to use recycled things.....
