Depends how much you use it. If electricity costs 10c/kWh, a 100W bulb will cost 24c/day or about $90/year if you leave it on all the time. That will pay for a few LED bulbs.
A 15W bulb that is only on when the refrigerator door is open, that will take decades to pay back an LED.
By removing the need for a filament, and replacing it with comparatively more stable LEDs, it creates a much more stable bulb that lasts longer. The LED bulbs heat up a lot less, which is because they don't need as much energy to produce the same amount of light. As a result, there's a significant cut in the need for power, which also means that using an LED bulb can save money on electricity bills.
there are many ways to create light, hot wires ( light bulbs) burning candles, glowing gas ( neon tubes) electric sparks, and solid sate materials that give light when electricity passes through.
the hot wire 100 watt light bulb produces mostly heat and relatively little light.
so does burning down a house.
However IF you are in cold climate and are heating the house anyway the hot lamps reduce the need for furnace fuel.
L.E.D. bulbs will save you money in the long run and the will last longer too so you don't have to change them as often making it less hassle than other light bulbs. I would recommend using L.E.D. bulbs but yes they are expensive so don't rush to change every bulb in your house if you really don't need to. Replace maybe a light that you use often like a living room light first, than replace other bulbs that burn out with L.E.D. bulbs. It spreads the cost out and doesn't make it a chore.
yes that are since they use a lot less electricity overall than other lights.
LED lighting uses approximately 10% of electricity than that of a standard light bulb. Energy efficient LED lighting creates less carbon emissions, which helps our environment as well as saving you money.
:)
I would never consider purchasing any other type of light source. Have you noticed that most traffic signals have also gone to LED ? Much more reliable, However, the cost of manufacturing them is greater. The trade off is well worth it.
LED lights are 8 times more energyefficient than traditional incandescent bulbs, but did you know that LED technology can make us happier and more .
Yes they are the better option

There are many different types of energy saving lights, and they are so expensive. Are they really worth it? Wondering...
