I need someones opinion on this question.?

Although i havent done research, i think the reason why is because children in the United States may have more availibility to the many resources. Also, children born in the United States compared to children born in Africa's poorest countries and India would probably get more money. Or, the statement may just be untrue or possibly racist. But the statement seems to me as i take it another way that the children born in india and one of africas poorest countries dont have as much pollution or dont pollute as much, whereas children in the USA litter, use loads of technology, and use up loads of trees for paper and other items.

Hope these opinions are able to understand and help in some way!!! -Hanna :) :) :)

Their lifestyle. Their clothes are shipped from China, they eat strawberries flown from Chile, pineapples from Hawaii, Coffee from Brazil. They drive down the block even if it's just a quick walk away. They live in air-conditioned and heated homes with Italian marble tiles. They have electric lights, television, computers, cell phones, indoor plumbing. Compare that with someone who lives in a mud hut and forages for food.

American children have a greater ability to consume more of the worlds' resources due to America being a wealthy nation.

Yes, because the environment is influence to the person

it not only because of the spending ability . part of the reason is the consumerism and marketing strategy of the US corporations.

How is it that during his/her lifetime a single child born in the United States can have a greater environmental impact than about 35 children born in India and 100 children born in one of Africa's poorest countries.
