Without resorting to shooting or "knifing" them, keeping rabbits out of your garden can be done a number of ways. Some of these strategies can be combined to increase your potential for success. The most common ways to accomplish this are:

1. Taste & Odor Repellents,

2. Instinctual Fear Repellents,

3. Barriers/Fencing and

4. Traps

1. Taste and Odor Repellents are typically spray on products that alter the taste or attractiveness of the plant to Rabbits. Many of these products use a combination of Putrescent Eggs and Cayenne Pepper to make the plant undesirable. An example of this type of repellent is Liquid Fence.

2. The most effective Instinctual Fear Repellents use predator urine as their active ingredient. A granular delivery method for this repellent increases the surface area that the product has with the air. Shake-Away Small Critter Repellent is the only fear based product using all natural predator urine that uses this delivery method.

3. Barriers and fencing for rabbits and any burrowing animals for that matter must be buried beneath the ground by up to 12 inches and be about 4 feet tall. Typically fencing is 1inch or 2inch wire mesh.

4. Most people who trap rabbits use live based traps like those sold by Havahart. This can be an effective method of removal, but make sure that all of them are caught!

Many gardeners will try a methods 1 or 2 above before going to to effort of installing fencing or trapping.

many different ways to trap them. I'm not really sure of the effectiveness of a live catch trap on a rabbit. But as far as inhumane traps go; humans have been catching rabbits to eat since the dawn of time. There are many excellent youtube videos on it, but most are probably not legal in your area if you get caught. If nothing else a couple of beagles and a shotgun are highly effective. or if you think you've got good enough hand eye coordination get you a hunk of broom or mop handle and a large nut. thread it onto the end of the stick and glue or screw it in place. spray paint it a highly visible color so you can find it after you throw it. Then you'll have a redneck rabbitstick. Practice with it for a few minutes then go find you some scrub brush or thorns to stomp through. the rabbit will run when you get really close. hurl stick at rabbit tie rabbit to your belt then go home and eat it.

Oh have also tied up puppy training pads soaked in dog urine around garden to much success, not very sightly though.

Shooting them will be easier. If you are quick enough to knife them I want you on my side in a street fight. Even more fun get a greyhound or saluki and turn him loose. Watching a good sighthound chase a rabbit is a true pleasure.

You can buy rabbit repellent, or I took some clippings of human hair and sprinkle it around the edge of the garden

JUST use the cheapest option and spread chile powder around your garden.

I found the scent left by my dog was the most effective method for ridding my yard of small animals.

22 rifle, eat them no reason to waste

very confusing task. try searching on to google. it can assist!
