Look at it like this; an ounce of Marijuana is normally 28 grams, unless you know some 'old heads' that still use the 32 gram ounce. So 1/8 is 3.5 grams, you want less, get 1 gram called a dime bag. The good deals come from buying in 'bulk' as breaking down smoke to 1 gram creates 'dust' (waste). If it's your first time, I'd suggest getting a dime bag and roll a 'pinner' (tiny joint) out of it. Depending on the quality; was it 'bricked' (compressed) or not, does it contain seeds or not; you should get 2 - 4 pinners out of a dime bag, unless you get shorted. Some like to weigh the baggie with the smoke -- unacceptable to those that partake, but they try to 'get over' on the novice.

Alright so I always smoke with my friends and my boyfriend always has bud, so I've never really had the need to pick up. But this guy i sorta know just texted me and offered me 35 for an 8th.
