It is true!
When you put things in the recycle that aren't recycclable, it contaminates the recyclable stuff and makes everything have to get thrown out.
So put stuff in the recycle that belong in the recycle.
Weeds and stuff in the garbage.
So many cities will give out compost containers cuz its to there benefit as well having less things at the rd for pick up. U can put so much in a compost container and that weed stuff is an important part as its acidic, and aids in faster breakdown. Worms climb in there and eat all rotting stuff and convert to the finest fertilizer. I know you didnt need to know but interesting, a healthy large worm can eat a pound of junk a day. W/o thinkin, thats a few 100 times its body weight, cool eh! (oh, he,s a Canadian:)). You probably live an apartment and have no place for garden, lol. I did try, though, hehe
Garbage. Plants are not recyclable. They are biodegradable though, so if you had a compost pile you could put them in there.
Recyclable materials:
Glass
Plastic
Paper
Aluminum cans
They go in your yard waste recycling bags, available for purchase at Lowes or HOme Depot!
We cannot put vegetative waste in the garbage or recycling in MN.
No they go in garbage or green waste. Recycling is for strictly plastic, glass, cans, and paper.
you cant put in the recycling bin. most citys have bulk pick up for yard waste and home item so check into it
you should create a compost pile.
In Cleveland, we got two free cans, one for garbage and one for recycling. And if we put the wrong things in the recycling bin we get charged but, i kinda think thats not true lol but anyway i was pulling weeds yesterday andi put the weeds in the garbage can. I was wondering do they belong in the garbage can or the recycling can?
