14 hours of sleep and still no energy?

The sleep has to be at a regular cycle to be of benefit, you need to go to sleep at the same time each night. Then it's a matter of food and your activity level, your meals should be balanced preferably with low glycemic index carbohydrates when you do have carbohydrates and you should try to exercise as soon as you get up to drive your metabolism up.

Babies are supposed to wake up frequently, you pretty much have to be on a 4 hour cycle with them. Usually parents trade waking up to tend to the baby so each can have a semblance of a night's rest.

How long have you been like this? Could be many things!

First and foremost, get some regular exercise, and I don't mean walking, get your heart rate up with jogging, swimming, exercise bike, or even yoga - whatever gets your heart pumping and in convenient for you. Exercise always helps.

But with no additional info, I can only share my own experiences and I am not a doctor unfortunately. Two things that have affected my sleep in the past are either nutritional problems or a problem with respiration.

Here are some things to try: get a blood test to check for any nutritional deficiencies. You could even try a vitamin B pill before bed, or if you have Vegemite in your country, instead eat a spoonful of that before bed (it works!). Also, if you smoke, try to not smoke 1 hour before bed - smoking can obstruct your airways and it is difficult for your body to clear them out while lying down. This causes carbon dioxide build up in your lungs and will give you a hangover feeling. Try to limit to 3 cups of coffee per day.

It could also simply be fatigue which might pass with proper rest and exercise. Definitely try some exercise, it always helps

I had this problem mine was over a vitamin B12 Deficiency, because even when I got sleep I was still tired, and I ended up sleeping way too much causing me to sleep more. You might want to contact your doctor and see if you have this problem.

You sound exhausted from baby maybe. I find if i let my baby sleep during the day they sleep better at night. It is also ok to let baby cry as long as you know they are safe and mot hungry. I will let mine cry for 20 minutes before i check if i know they are safe and full.

Try practising meditation before going to bed. Many people confirmed they benefitted after about 30 minutes of meditation every night.

It's because you sleep too much. Once your brain gets used to getting that much amount of sleep, it feels like it cannot live without its.

well first of all you're in the wrong category

second: TOO MUCH sleep sometimes makes you MORE tired so try to get between 10-12 hours of sleep and thats it

I been sleeping way too much. I don't know what could be wrong.

Example. If I sleep 6-8 hours I can't get up.

Cause when I wake up I feel like I got off a rollor coaster ride. My eyes feel heavy and I get light headed and really, really Moody.

Not to over exsagerate but I fight to keep my eyes open. And when I open them from how tier's I am. My eye balls feel like there doing a wave even at stuff I'm looking at.

And when I sleep for 14 hours yea I get sleep but I'm still tier's either way.

I have been waking up alot at night. I have a 8 month old baby girl. Who wakes up a lot at night. And no matter how much I keep her up during the day. And give her Lavender baths warm milk baby solid foods she just wont sleep.

Even the father notice she wakes up way too much.

but even when I get help with BOTH kids so I could. Get my rest I'm still tiered

Please help
