Is top coat the same thing as clear nail polish?

If I just want a shiny, clear layer of nail polish, can I use top coat? Or are the two different things? If they are, where can I find a clear nail polish?

Clear polish is just clear polish. Some women don't like using colored polish and some women can't use colored polish at their work place. Top coat doesn't have to be clear (some are pink, green or blue but dry clear). The top coat just helps to lock the color in place. The 3 way All in One glaze is a mutli-purpose polish. It's a base coat, top coat and strengthener. So you can use it as a base coat (before your regular polish) and as a top coat (after your regular polish). The 3 way CAN be used by itself if you choose to (I have it myself and the box actually says you can use it with or without polish). If you just want to use a super shiny clear polish, I would go and get another one then. The essie isn't particulary super shiny (compared to the high shine ones). Any clear polish can be bought at your local drug store, Target, Walmart, Kmart, Ulta or Sephora.

No it's not. It's what you put on After you paint your nails

Top coat and clear nail polish is NOT the same thing. You can find a top coat at any beauty supply store, walmart, target, etc.

noooo! don't make that mistake
