I'm almost 15 and my dad is Muslim. It's totally awful when it comes to clothes because I'm not allowed to wear tank tops or skirts/dresses above knee length. I also can't wear anything even the least bit relieving or even makeup. I also can't wear short shorts and as you know things I named, is typical for teens. It's so annoying because I can NEVER find anything to fit his crappy rules. PLEASE help me try to convince him to let me wear less covering clothes. Look for a compromise. Find some shorts that are a little shorter than what you normally wear and see if he would be willing to let you wear them if you wore a more conservative top with them. Another option would be a thick strap tank with jeans, capris, or Bermuda shorts. I think the key is balance and not pushing things too far.

After you leave the house, make any alterations you want to. Don't go overboard, though.
