In Connecticut I know you have to be 18 to get a piercing without parent's permission If I had my 20 yr-old boyfriend with me who has an ID can I get a piercing then? OR If his mom signs off as a guardian can I get a piercing? Would she have to show proof that we are related? P.S. It's just a cartilage piercing but it needs to be done at a tattoo parlor. I know some piercings they won't do at all until you're 13. If you want to get pierced and you're under 18, your legal guardian will have to sign off and when I went they checked her license to see that we had the same last name. Either way if you're not 18 you need a guardian to give consent in person.
