Depending on your location, there are times when a certain bug is just everywhere, Like this past fall stinkbugs were everywhere, my house, my school, my car. My recommendation is you put down ant traps, its a little pastic thing with holes on the side and there is a chemical inside that attracts the ants inside and kills them on contact. That way you don't have to see them, just throw out the trap when the box says it will be expired. You can put them in a corner, on a shelf, anywhere. Just keep them away from places where food comes in contact with something (kitchen counter, dinning room table). Good luck and don't worry, the ambush will end eventually.

You can spray the outside of your house with an insecticide but it will need to be replace after it rains. You can use a powder ant killer and place it along the edges of each room.(Boric Acid) It is a natural product and shouldn't hurt you. It will dry up ants and they won't come back. Wear a mask and gloves when applying any insecticide and wash clothes after.

Okay listen I am deadly afraid of ants and bugs, this is what happened. I was sitting in my room on my computer (Macbook), and I suddenly look up and there was a ant on the top of my computer, obviously I freaked out and almost cried. I killed the ant and switched rooms, I moved to a different room across the house. Now laterally 3 minutes ago the same thing happened, another ant was crawling down my computer. I'm freaking out, what do I do to stop this !!!! Where in the world are they coming from, I clean all the time.
