You can try almost any shade of gray or even a gold .White would be perfect.Any shade of blue would also look nice.
Or go exotic and paint an accent wall a really dark color like midnight blue or even a shade of black. Use pinterest and Houzz for inspiration.
painting to match a bedspread seems like a lot of work and messy. why wouldn't a person buy a bedspread to match the room?
