There are a lot of small appliance type devices that are basically just lamps that run on batteries. If you only need them for one night, then they should be good for the whole party. Tell everyone to bring extra batteries.

Have everyone attending bring a torch with them

a coleman camping lantern, just make sure its secured somewhere safe so it doesnt get knocked over

Solar lawn lights are cheap, and will last a long time.

My friend and I are throwing a party at her beach hut, but is in the middle of nowhere and there's no electricity for lighting, we would buy a generator but its too expensive, does anyone know any ideas on what we could use?? Preferably not to do with fire, its a grassy area, and also not too expensive
