Turn it off and open the windows! Even if you don't smell anything, carbon monoxide is odorless that is why you should had a carbon monoxide detector. They now have ones that are carbon monoxide and fire detector in one. You can get them at Home Depot and probably Menards too!

Pay the bill and start a Ginko regimen.

You're all fine.

If as you say there was a flame, then there's nothing to worry about.

It would be no different to leaving a gas fire on, on a low setting.

Gas is only potentially dangerous if it is on..... but unlit.

what you did was extremely risky but luckily nothing happened.it won't affect your family in anyway.next time be careful to turn off gas stove after use

If you left a low flame the gas would have been burning away, it would be no different to cooking something.

Turn it off.

I got home today like around 2am & realized i left my stove on w/ a low flame!!!. The bad thing is that the last time i used it was the night before. Which means i slept while it was on & left it on all day till 2day that i got home. Im scared because i have a 4month old & a 2year old daughter. Could it have affected them? They seem fine but im scared at the fact that they slept while the stove was on. I googled about this & read that carbon monoxide could kill u while u sleep. & im just thankful we all woke up. But now im scared 2 have them sleep here. I live in a small 1 bedroom bouse so its not like i could take them upstairs or something. I also read that ur not suppose 2 turn the lights on & when i got home thats the 1st thing i did. Thankfully nothing happened.
