I just updated all of my bathrooms was it worth it--feeling guilty?

Hi - I would say of course it was worth it - especially as you have done the rest of the house and you intend to spend another 10-15 years there. Enjoy the fruits of your labour and think it was money well spent and when you come to sell it - if it still looks nice - you will get more people interested in buying it when it looks so beautiful :) So.... that's got to be worthwhile hasn't it?

Everytime when you walk in the bathroom from now on - Be Happy - and do some 'chillaxing' in there with some nice candles - you deserve it - you work hard :)) Think of that song called something like ....... and.... I'm happy - it's a great tune :) Have a listen - all the way through :)

It was worth it at the time or you wouldn't have done it. It can't be undone. Forget about the past and look forward to enjoying your new bathroom.

Redoing kitchens and bathrooms is an investment. That is part of maintance and is important for your home.

Enjoy.

every time you hear it flush you'll see that money turn to mush.......

I just spent about $30,000 remodeling my bathrooms--complete gut and remodel. My townhome is 20 years old, which I purchased two years ago for $280,000. I plan to stay at least 10-15 years until my kids are done with high school and college and out of the home. I live in a desirable location in Naperville, Illinois. I'm feeling guilty I spent all this money that I probably should have saved because I'm a teacher and don't really make a lot. It was one of those once-in-a-lifetime things I was going through. Now I'm wondering if this is considered an investment or if I will ever really benefit from all the work I had done. Everything else in the home looks really nice too and the kitchen was updated about 5 years ago.
