General costs for moving out?

It's difficult for anyone to know what those costs will be without knowing where you live. I don't even know what country you're in, never mind whether you're in a warm climate or a cold one.

Rent may include water and sewage. Apartment rent can sometimes include electricity and heat, or just heat. House rent doesn't usually include either one. You have to ask the landlord what the deal is with that property when you go to look at it. You can usually call the utility companies involved and ask them what the bill was for that property last year. That doesn't always say exactly what you bill will be--maybe you'll keep the place much hotter or much cooler than the last people--but it's a starting point.

As for food, presumably you eat food at home now. Who buys it? How much do they spend per person? Ask them. If you now live in a household of 6 people, you will probably find that it costs a little more per person to feed two people, if they are eating the same way, but again, at least it gives you a starting point.

it depends how much you make and how comfortable you want to be.

Hi all,

Please could anyone advise me what they roughly spend on the monthly bills?

My boyfriend and I are looking to move into a small 2 bedroom house and I really want to start understanding some realistic costs for such as ; water / sewage / gas / electricity / food ?

I appreciate that many factors come in to account but I think I'm over estimating and my boyfriend is under estimating (knowing I always over estimate haha)

Many thanks!
